The Challenge

I’ve always loved indulging in a good treat, but as someone who’s serious about my protein intake and building muscle, I constantly faced a dilemma. I needed sweets, yet I avoided them because they rarely delivered on the nutrition front. One day, I threw down a challenge to Beulah:

“Can we create a treat that not only tastes amazing but also packs a protein punch?”

That was the spark that ignited our latest experiment.



From Cookies to Cake

Our journey began with protein-infused cookies. They were fun to make, and the idea of incorporating whey protein into a beloved snack was intriguing. But soon, curiosity and a bit of creative daring led us to experiment with something bigger — a cake.

We took on the challenge of crafting a dark chocolate cake that wouldn’t just be about cutting corners on sugar, but actually offered a nutritional trade-off. We started tweaking the recipe, carefully balancing the ingredients so that while we weren’t deceiving anyone — yes, our treats still contain sugar — we were offering something far more beneficial than your typical cake.



The Secret Ingredient: Whey Protein

For us, protein is non-negotiable. Incorporating whey protein into our cake wasn’t just about adding a trendy ingredient; it was about rethinking what a treat could be. We chose dark chocolate for its rich, indulgent flavor and natural antioxidants, and we made sure the cake stayed moist and bouncy — the kind of texture that makes every bite a delight.
